First of all it is important for participants to understand why we are here to do private tours.
Our mission is to provide a "more meaningful authentic experience" to all that joins our "The REAL Local Tokyo for people who do not want AVERAGE" tour.
Therefore our tours are different from others since:
1. We try our very best to make this package something that is nothing alike to the other average Tokyo tours you will see on many sites.
2. We try our very best not to pick spots that are solely designed to please the eye of a tourist(i.e. something that may look typical Japanese to overseas clients may sometimes be a form of fabrication in the eye of a local)
3. We try our very best to pick spots that are not overly crowded with tourists so that participants can enjoy "quality time in a quality space" instead of quantity time in an overly packed space.
the meeting point of the tour will be at B2 exit of the Kiyosumi Shirakawa stn. i will be waiting at the ground level of the B2 exit with a green reusable bag.
we will be ending the tour at Kudanshita station.
first thing in the morning we are going to enjoy some coffee tasting course arranged by a local barista that knows what is the best match of your choice. the course will obviously include coffee that comes in all forms which may range from a simple black coffee with the choosing of your beans to a milk brew coffee, or even a coffee cocktail that does not include alcohol. courses range from ¥2,000-¥6,000 per person.
after a refreshing morning coffee, we will be going to a olden Japanese style garden that dates back to the 1700's. the greenery and the open space with Japanese architectural designs are something that will definitely be pleasing to the eye.
after a fresh outdoor excursion we will be going to a near by museum that exhibits and has successfully recreated an olden Japanese merchant town and housing during the Edo peroiod(1600's-1800's). Not only will you know more about the history during this period but it'll definitely be an experience of reliving that era with your present day perspective.
after a enriched morning tour you will finally get to have a lunch within this area from a exclusive restaurant list our team has to ourselves. Restaurants will range from Japanese style casual lunches to sushi, Japanese style Italian cuisine, soba lunches, or even a quick café style lunch with Pancakes and sandwiches. We will have to discuss your pick for lunch prior to your trip.
after a good filling lunch we will get ourselves to go row a boat or paddle a swan boat along the mote of the Royal Palace. you will get to enjoy the seasonal scenery. 2-3 people are allowed on 1 boat depending on the boat size available. this activity is only available from March till November.
after some boat exercise we will take a stroll in a nearby Shinto temple that dates back to the 1800’s. Lots of history to be picked up here with a good walk along the premises that also has a sumo wrestling area that used to be open to the public.
by now your legs must have had a good amount of exercise so it's a little break time at a local tea/coffee shop to freshen up for the remaining tour. we have an exclusive list for recommended coffee and tea places in the neighborhood that is kept amongst ourselves which you will definitely enjoy.
