Our mission is to provide a "more meaningful authentic experience" to through our "The REAL Local Tokyo for people who do not want AVERAGE" tour.
Our tours are different from others since:
1. We try our very best to make this package something that is nothing alike to the other average Tokyo tours you will see on many sites.
2. We try our very best not to pick spots that are solely designed to please the eye of a tourist(i.e. something that may look typical Japanese may sometimes be a form of fabrication in the eye of a local)
3. We try our very best to pick spots that are not overly crowded with tourists so that participants can enjoy "quality time in a quality space" instead of quantity time in an overly packed space.
*a minimum of 2 people are required for this tour.
*an hour of lunch time is incorporated within the tour hours. Lunch fee is not included in this package.
*The meeting time is 10:30am.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
I will be waiting at SouthEast exit(street level) of UshigomeYanagicho Station. I will be holding a green cloth bag with a design that says "TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR."
What to expect
1. a Chief Priest from a local Buddhist temple who is highly experienced in different types of meditational methods will lead this session. You can choose from a more Calligraphic approach which is to hand copy a sutra and enjoy the mindfulness of concentrating on the present. Another choice will be focusing on your thoughts and expressing it through a drawing and the chief priest will give that piece a character(Kanji) which will be a souvenir of this rare experience. This activity will last around 1.5 hours.
An hour of lunch time.
2. an experienced Japanese origami sensei will coach the basics of origami and help you acquire a few origami techniques to bring home and teach peers and family. Origami isn't just about making shapes and objects out of paper. It includes mathematics, engineering, and even space technology due to the geometric principles involved in the folding process. On top of this, Origami is taught at a very early age and used as an activity in elderly homes as it has a meditational effect. This activity will last around 2 hours.
