Kolsai Lake

Lake Kaindy

Next, we visit Lake Kaindy, famous for its flooded forest. Tree trunks rise from the water, creating a unique view.

Charyn Canyon
Almaty Region — 1 hour
Final stop is Charyn Canyon. Walk through the Valley of Castles, explore red rock formations, and enjoy panoramic views.

1Kolsai Lake
At 6:00 AM, you should meet at the designated spot in the city center. The day before the tour, we’ll send you the exact meeting location and the organizer’s contact number. Then we’ll head to Kolsai Lake. The drive takes about 4 hours (around 300 km). Along the way, you’ll see steppe landscapes, mountains, and authentic village life. We’ll spend a couple of hours at the lake, enjoying the views and capturing amazing photos. Our guide speaks English and will tell you all about this stunning lake.

2Lake Kaindy
Next, we’ll head to Lake Kaindy (about a 15-minute bus ride). From the parking area, it’s an easy 15-minute walk to the lake. If you don’t want to walk, you can take an option to reach Lake Kaindy in a UAZ (Bukhanka) — it costs 2,000 tenge. We’ll spend about an hour at this stunning spot, taking photos of the beautiful scenery and enjoying the breathtaking views.

3Charyn Canyon National Park
After that, we’ll head to Charyn Canyon (100 km, about a 2.5-hour drive). We’ll arrive just in time for sunset. You’ll get to enjoy the golden hour, when Charyn Canyon looks especially stunning, bathed in soft pink sunset light. We’ll take you to the most beautiful spots in the canyon so your photos come out truly unforgettable. You’ll also have the option to ride in an improvised safari vehicle (1,800 tenge). The drive back to the city takes around 3 hours. Around 8:00 PM, you’ll be dropped off at the same meeting point where you gathered in the morning. Optional extra costs: UAZ transfer (to Lake Kaindy) and the safari vehicle at Charyn Canyon. Feel free to ask your guide to take photos — we’ll be happy to help you capture your memories.
