Situated in the center of Điện Biên Phủ city, it honors soldiers from many ethnic groups nationwide and serves as a solemn space for visitors to pay tribute. The cemetery stands as a quiet reminder of their sacrifice and the enduring spirit of the Vietnamese people.
A1 Hill, once a fiercely contested stronghold in the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign, played a decisive role in the Viet Minh’s victory in May 1954. Today, it stands as a memorial and a meaningful destination where visitors can explore its wartime history and take in the surrounding landscape. We then continue to the De Castries Bunker, the former command center of General Henri de Castries, an important site that reflects the final days of the French stronghold in Điện Biên Phủ.
12:00 – Continue into the mountains to Muong Phang, a quiet Black Thai ethnic village that once played a key role during the campaign. After resting and having lunch, we walk to Ban Kha Village, the former command center of the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign. Located on a high hill, this site allowed Viet Minh leaders to oversee and direct key operations that led to the 1954 victory. Today, Ban Kha offers visitors a chance to explore this important historical location and learn about the resilience and achievements of the Vietnamese army
Pha Khoang Lake, about 15 km from Dien Bien Phu, is famous for its serene natural beauty, surrounded by green hills and ethnic villages. Visitors can relax, take photos, fish, boat, or hike while enjoying the peaceful landscape. Afterwards, the guide will return you to your hotel in Dien Bien Phu, marking the end of the trip.
