Ice fishing is one of Lapland’s most traditional winter activities, offering a peaceful escape into the Arctic wilderness. After hotel pick-up in Rovaniemi, we’ll head to a scenic frozen lake where your guide will teach you how to drill a hole and fish the traditional way.

More than just fishing, this experience is about slowing down and enjoying the quiet beauty of nature. Surrounded by snowy landscapes, you'll connect with the rhythm of the Arctic. We finish by warming up by the fire with grilled salmon, Finnish bread, and hot drinks. Remember to dress warmly with proper winter gear.

    Once at the lake, we will choose a promising spot on the ice. Your guide will teach you how to drill your own fishing hole and share traditional techniques and tips to increase your chances of a catch. But ice fishing is not just about catching fish. It is a calming and mindful activity that invites you to slow down, breathe the crisp Arctic air, and truly connect with nature. Throughout the experience, you will be immersed in the serene atmosphere of Finnish Lapland. Whether or not the fish bite, you will enjoy the beauty of the snowy environment, the crunch of ice under your feet, and the quiet rhythm of the wilderness. To finish, we will warm up by the fire and enjoy a traditional snack of grilled salmon, Finnish bread, and hot drinks. This simple meal is the perfect end to a genuine Arctic experience. Please remember to dress warmly with proper winter gear including insulated boots, a hat, gloves, and layered clothing to ensure a comfortable outing.
