The chamber has 343 seats representing electoral districts across the country, with Ontario holding the largest number of representatives. During our visit, we will join a guided tour of the building, and if Parliament is in session and seats are available, we may also have the opportunity to watch the proceedings from the public gallery—something that has been possible on every visit I’ve done with tourists so far.**
The Senate of Canada is currently located in the Senate of Canada Building, the historic former Union Station near Parliament Hill, while the Centre Block undergoes major renovations. During our visit, we will take part in a guided visit of the building, and if the Senate is in session and seats are available, we may also have the opportunity to observe the proceedings from the public gallery.
