What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Start your self-guided tour at the entrance of The Seamen's Chapel (Sjömanskapellet) in the Maritime Quarter (Sjökvarteret). Open your Ciceru experience nearby and follow the route on your smartphone.
The tour ends near the Western Harbour (Västra Hamnen). Take a moment to enjoy the area before finishing your walk.

Begin in the living Maritime Quarter (Sjökvarteret), home to wooden boatyards, craft workshops and the Seamen's Chapel (Sjömanskapellet). From here the route continues to the Åland Navigation School (Navigationsskolan), where generations of windjammer captains trained.

One of the world's finest maritime museums tells the story of Åland's great age of sail. Nearby stand the former residence of shipping magnate Gustaf Erikson and the former office of his company, Rederiaktiebolaget Gustaf Erikson, before the route ends at the Western Harbour (Västra Hamnen) where his legendary windjammer fleet once berthed.
