Begin in Henningsvær, where a local baker guides you in crafting perfect Nordic cinnamon buns. Enjoy your fresh pastries with coffee in a cozy café before stepping inside a historic fisherman’s cabin to learn about Lofoten’s cod fishing and stockfish traditions. Taste a selection of local delicacies, from smoked fish to Arctic goat cheese, each telling a story of tradition and quality. We will also go inside a working, historic fish factory to which we have exclusive access. This is truly a unique tour in Lofoten.
We can pick you up from Svinøya Rorbuer, Thon Hotel Lofoten, Thon Hotel Svolvær, Marina Hotel, Lofoten Rorbuer or the Tourist Information Office in the main square at Svolvær. Send us a message to let us know which hotel to collect you from, or jsut meet us at Svinøya Rorbuer.
We'll go to a local baker for a cinnamon bun masterclass. While the buns are baking you'll have the opportunity to explore the historic town of Henningsvær before returning to taste teh buns with a coffee.
We'll go inside a preserved fishermans cabin at Svinøya Rorbuer to learn about local food history and the importance of fishing in the area, and we'll taste local food including meats, cheeses and fish.
Included in your booking is a 3 course dinner at Børsen Spiseri. This renowned restaurant offers some of the finest dining in Northern Norway and the menu is crafted from local produce.
