After exploring the fortified village, the trip proceeds to Ouarzazate, often called the "gateway to the Sahara," where travellers may stop for a visit or a quick photo near the Taourirt Kasbah. The road then leads through the Valley of Roses and Skoura palm groves, offering views of lush oases and traditional Berber life. By late afternoon, travellers reach Dades Valley, famous for its red cliffs and winding rock formations. On the second day, travellers leave the Dades Valley after breakfast and follow a scenic route through the dramatic Todgha Gorges, where they’ll stop to walk along the towering canyon walls and witness the daily lives of local villagers. The journey continues through the arid landscapes of the eastern High Atlas, passing Berber towns like Tinghir and Tinjdad. Along the way, travellers will enjoy glimpses of nomadic herders and ancient irrigation systems that are still in use. After a lunch stop en route, the road opens into the vast plains of the pre-Sahara before arriving in Merzouga. There, a camel caravan awaits, taking travellers across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi just before sunset. After a picturesque ride, they’ll reach a luxury desert camp where a warm welcome, traditional mint tea, and Moroccan dinner await. The evening continues with live Berber music around the fire under a sky full of stars.
