Tromso Experience Vannoya Island Wild Remote and Real

8 to 10 hours (approximately)

This is not just a day trip — it's a quiet journey into a place shaped by sea, wind, and tradition. And it's a chance to see that place through the eyes of someone who calls it home.
We invite you to Vannøya — an island far out on the edge of the Norwegian Sea, where we grew up. Life here has always been shaped by the ocean and the deep sense of freedom that comes from living between mountain peaks and open sea.
We'll travel across the fjord to this island, where dramatic mountains meet the vast ocean. You'll see endless views over fjords and islands, hear waves and seabirds, and feel the raw air that brings a profound sense of freedom and ease.
We'll visit a traditional fishing village and share stories of coastal life, hike to viewpoints over the Barents Sea, and end at a white-sand Arctic beach with a simple meal. The day moves at nature's pace.
This isn't a checklist of sights. It's a glimpse into island life in the far north — and a day we hope you'll remember.
