    Transfer from Kasane to Elephant Sands

    After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and begin your journey to Elephant Sands, located approximately 250 kilometers (155 miles) from Chobe—a scenic drive of about 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on road conditions and stops along the way. Arrival at Elephant Sands is expected around lunchtime. After lunch, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive through the surrounding wilderness, where you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife. As evening falls, gather around the open fire at the lodge and experience the magical sight of elephants coming to drink at the nearby waterhole—so close you can hear their gentle rumbles and splashes. This extraordinary setting offers an intimate and unforgettable connection with nature before you retire for dinner and an overnight stay at Elephant Sands.

The salt pans offer a surreal landscape of shimmering white plains stretching endlessly beneath expansive skies. The meerkat interaction is a heartwarming experience, as these curious creatures often climb onto guests to get a better view of their surroundings. During the dry season, the pans are ideal for adventurous quad biking and mesmerizing stargazing, while the wet season transforms the desert into a vibrant haven filled with flamingos and wildlife. The journey covers about 200 kilometers and offers scenic views of the open countryside, with opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife along the way—ostriches being a common and delightful sight. Upon arrival in Maun, guests will check in at Sedia Hotel and enjoy some time to relax. Dinner and overnight accommodation follow, preparing you for the next day’s adventure in the Okavango Delta.
