Start with a scenic drive through the picturesque Frafjord Valley, leading to the majestic Månafossen—Norway’s largest and most powerful waterfall. After a short but invigorating hike, feel the mist on your face as you stand in awe of this roaring natural wonder.
Next, we’ll visit Byrkedalstunet, a charming historic dairy farm turned hotel and restaurant. Wander the grounds, and explore the onsite candle factory while delving into Norwegian traditions and history.
The day peaks with a visit to Gloppedalsura, Northern Europe’s largest boulder field, located in a UNESCO Geopark. This site, steeped in WWII history, is surrounded by towering cliffs. Tackle the via ferrata course through these colossal boulders—an exhilarating experience like a natural escape room!

After our hike, we will enjoy a visit and lunch stop at Byrkedalstunet. This historic dairy farm has been converted into a hotel and restaurant, features its very own candle factory, and has become one of the most important tourist destinations in the region. There will be plenty of time to explore Bykedalstunet and learn about Norwegian culture and history.

We will then drive into the UNESCO Geopark to Gloppedalsura, the site of a famous WWII battle, and take in the majestic cliffs as we via ferrata through the boulders - the ultimate natural escape room!
