Our snowshoeing tour at the snow-covered Togakushi Shrine is a unique experience available only during a three-month period each year. Togakushi Shrine is a renowned destination for tourists, but without joining a guided tour, navigating the area can be more challenging, and you may miss many attractions while increasing the risks associated with outdoor activities in nature.
To ensure a smooth, enjoyable, and safe experience, we provide multilingual guiding for our clients. Hama and Yuki, both active registered nurses and UIMLA-certified hiking guides, are fluent in English, with Yuki also speaking Mandarin Chinese to assist native Chinese-speaking clients.
We warmly welcome you to this winter wonderland for an unforgettable one-day experience that combines the beauty of authentic Japanese culture with the magic of the snow-covered landscape.

We will hold the viator logo plate for easily finding us at the meeting point.
What to expect
- 7:00 Meet-up in front of Starbucks at Nagano station.
- 9:00 Arrive at Snow Monkey Park to see the monkeys bathing in hot springs.
- 10:00 Depart for Togakushi Shrine for snowshoeing.
- 11:00 Enjoy lunch.
- 12:00 Begin exploring Togakushi Shrine.
- 13:00 Arrive at Okusha (Inner Shrine).
- 13:30 Start the snowshoeing adventure.
- 15:30 End snowshoeing activity.
- 17:00 Conclude the tour at Nagano Station.
