In the skin of a weaver

1 hour (approximately)

This experience is unique to put yourself in the shoes of a goat weaver.

I will tell you more about my learning to become a master in the art of weaving over tea when you are with me in my workshop.

You will discover his loom that he made with his hands. You will learn the basics of weaving a wick.

The back and forth game of wires, shuttles and wefts can then begin.
As we go along, we see a sting. It’s captivating!

You can choose your piece from a collection and leave with this unique piece in your luggage as a souvenir of this immersive experience.

What to expect

In the heart of the medina, you will meet a weaver maalem.
A maâlem is literally “the one who knows”, a master of crafts or art, and this honorary title is given to those deemed worthy of instruction or of passing on his know-how.

You will be greeted with enthusiasm by your weaver who for him, each visit is an opportunity to highlight his work and know-how.
Coming from a family of weavers from father to son for three generations, he made his first works very young.
