The Annapurna Circuit Trek, also known as the Round Annapurna Trek, is a stunning two-week lodge-based adventure in Nepal that crosses the highest Himalayan pass, Thorong La Pass.

    Drive from Kathmandu to Bulbule by Local Bus (820m) – 9 Hours

    Early morning set for the 9-hour scenic drive from Kathmandu to Bulbule (820m). The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes, small villages, and terraced fields, offering views of the lower Himalayas. Upon arrival, check in at your teahouse and rest for the night.

    Trek to Bahundanda (1,270m)

    From Bulbule, begin your trek to Bahundanda, passing through charming villages and lush terraced fields. The trail offers great views of the surrounding hills and mountains as you gain elevation slowly. Overnight stay in Bahundanda

    Today, you’ll trek through dense forests and cross several suspension bridges as you descend to Chamche. The walk offers scenic views of the Marsyangdi River and its tributaries, with a gradual ascent as you continue toward higher altitudes.

    As you trek toward Dharapani, you’ll pass through a few Gurung and Manangi villages, where you can experience the local culture and hospitality. The landscape transitions from subtropical to more alpine terrain as you gain altitude.

    Trek to Chame (2,670m)

    Today’s trek takes you to Chame, the administrative center of the Manang District. The route offers fantastic views of the Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II. As you gain elevation, the landscape changes to a mix of pine forests and alpine meadows.

    Trek to Lower Pisang (3,250m)

    You’ll leave Chame and trek toward Lower Pisang, passing through more dense forests and small villages. The views of Annapurna II, III, and IV become more spectacular as you approach Pisang, a traditional Manangi village.

    Continue on the trail to Manang, a large village known for its traditional Tibetan culture and Buddhist monasteries. This is a good point to rest and acclimatize, as you’re nearing the higher altitudes of the trek.

    Take the day to acclimatize to the higher altitude and explore the surroundings. You can hike to Gangapurna Lake or take a short trek to Praken Monastery for panoramic views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Himalchuli.

    Today’s trek takes you to Thorong Phedi, the base camp for Thorong La Pass. The trail gets steeper as you approach higher altitudes, so take your time and enjoy the changing landscapes. This will be your final stop before the big push to Thorong La Pass.

    Trek to Thorong La Pass (5,416m), then to Muktinath (3,800m) – 9 Hours of Walking

    The most challenging and rewarding day of the trek! Start early to tackle the Thorong La Pass (5,416m). The climb is demanding, but the views from the top are awe-inspiring, with 360-degree panoramas of the Himalayas. After descending, you’ll reach Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. Spend the night in Muktinath.
