Explore the natural and historical cultural spots of Nagomi Town in Kumamoto Prefecture on a guided cycling tour. Visit the Eta Funayama Burial Mound, Higo Minka Village, and the mysterious Tonkararin Tunnel.
Meet your guide and set off on your bike to explore the Eta Funayama Burial Mound, a nationally designated historic site built in the late 5th century. Next, head to Higo Minka Village, a collection of traditional houses featuring unique shops and restored old homes.
Continue to the mysterious Tonkararin Tunnel, whose creator, purpose, and time of construction remain unknown. Finally, cycle through mountain paths that preserve the original rural scenery of Nagomi Town.

We will meet in front of the meat shop ‘Niku no Saiki’ next to the "Kikusui Romankan", a local products store. Please ask the staff at the cash register in the meat shop ‘Niku no Saiki'.

Visit one of the most famous historical spots in Nagomi-machi. The Eta-funeyama burial mound is a 62-metre-long, forward-rear circular mound believed to have been built in the late 5th century, and is a relaxing spot.

Higo Minka Mura is dotted with old houses that have been relocated and restored from various places, including houses built about 300 years ago. The old houses are also used to run a general shop, atelier and café. Enjoy the atmosphere as if you have stepped back in time to old Japan.

Cycle along the Kikuchi River to Shiraishi Weir, where wild birds and other birds can be viewed, and back to the Kikusui Roman Museum.
