What to expect

Club Joy, together with our resident artisan, welcomes you to discover the ancient art of the fresco in the heart of Florence. You will learn to prepare the plaster on its support, transfer the design using the traditional spolvero (pouncing) technique, and paint with natural pigments on fresh plaster.

Choose your colors, apply the base, trace the design, and paint the outlines and gradients as you follow a creative flow guided by the artist. Throughout the workshop, you will discover fascinating facts about the Renaissance painting tradition and the evolution of fresco from the past to the present day.
