What to expect
Enjoy an authentic culinary experience in Porto Venere and discover how true Ligurian pesto is made with your own hands. In a convivial workshop guided by a local chef, you will use traditional ingredients like fresh basil, pine nuts, garlic, selected cheeses, and extra-virgin olive oil to prepare the sauce in a marble mortar following artisanal techniques. You will learn the traditional methods of Pesto alla Genovese by using a marble mortar and wooden pestle just like the locals do. At the end of the session, you will savor your handmade pesto with traditional pasta and a glass of wine, and you will also take home your own 200g jar as a delicious gastronomic souvenir.
