Guided and you’ll learn the basics of kayaking while soaking in the stunning views. This activity is perfect for all ages and skill levels, ensuring everyone feels at ease on the water. As the sun sets, keep an eye out for beavers and other wildlife in their natural habitat for a memorable evening adventure. This activity is often a highlight of visiting the city of Bratislava. If you are already a skilled kayaker, we also offer boat rentals in our center.

How to find us?Take tram 4, 9 or bus 29or32 to Botanická záhrada. From the stop, walk downhill toward the river. Enter the blue gate, go past the parking lot, and look for the tall blue and wooden building —That's where the fun begins!

What to expect

Paddling takes place in the Karloveské branch of the Danube, guided by an experienced instructor. At the start of each session, the guide explains the basics and shows you how to get into the kayak. You'll prepare the boats together. Bathrooms and changing rooms are available. These events are open to everyone — even complete beginners. Once you're settled in your kayak, you’ll begin exploring the beautiful area while learning the basics of kayaking.
Along the way, you might spot beavers and other local wildlife. The beavers come out when the sun sets, usually, so there is a higher chance of seeing them in the evening. On hot days, bring your swimsuit — there’s a chance to take a refreshing swim at the island!
