Your adventure begins with a comfortable transfer from Tbilisi toward the Alazani Valley and into Alvani, a calm winter village with a strong Tushetian identity. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a hearty Tushetian breakfast at a cozy family-run guesthouse before meeting your horse and local guides. The first ride is peaceful and introductory — perfect for warming up and getting comfortable in the saddle. You’ll explore: - Zemo Alvani, a traditional settlement with views of the Caucasus foothills - Ghvtaeba Monastery, resting above the valley - Ioane Natlismtsemeli Monastery, an ancient spiritual site with serene surroundings Midday, you’ll stop for a relaxed picnic or lunch near Babaneuri, a picturesque place where forest meets mountains. After returning to the guesthouse, enjoy a delicious homemade Tushetian dinner — think cheeses, stews, traditional breads, and local wine — while learning about the culture of the Tush people who live seasonally between Alvani and Tusheti.
