Embark on an exciting Northern Lights hunt in a small group with Tromso Travel!
Benefit from the knowledge and experience of the owners, who are also your local guides. They will do their absolute best to find the optimal spots to experience the Northern Lights.
Tromso Travel is a local, family-owned business that cares for both our guests and nature. We have two basecamps, The Wilderness and The Seahouse, both equipped with basic toilet facilities. If weather and solar activity look promising, we drive to one of these basecamps. Here, you can enjoy a campfire, storytelling, snacks, and hot beverages while we wait for the lights to appear.
Remember that our Northern Lights chase may lead us to various locations to ensure optimal viewing conditions. On this chase, we serve snacks and hot beverages, and if weather permits, we will build a campfire.
You are most welcome to join us on a Northern Lights hunt! We will do our best to give you an unforgettable experience.

Meeting and pickup
The tour starts at 7:00 pm from the Magic Ice Bar, Kaigata 4, 9008 Tromsø. When the tour is over, we drive the guests up to 15 minutes outside Tromsø city center.

Troms (Pass by)
To experience the Northern Lights you must be outside for long periods in cold winter conditions. Therefore, it is recommended to wear very warm layers, preferably wool, and winter boots. We have some thermal overalls and snow boots for borrowing. Please note that the photos often show the colors of the Northern Lights as being stronger than what is seen with the eye.
