What to expect

On this half-day tour, we’ll begin by meeting you in your Riad (hotel) within the Medina (Old city) or at the main entrance of Café de France and take a short walk to the heart of the famous Jamaa El Fna square. I will give you an overview of Marrakech’s rich history as we stroll through the lively square, then head towards the Koutoubia Mosque, where I will share its fascinating history dating back to the 12th century. Next, we will walk to the Bahia Palace, a 19th century palace located near the Jewish Quarter, where you’ll explore its beautiful interior and learn about its history and stunning Islamic architecture. After that, we’ll visit the vibrant souks (markets) on our way to the Medersa Ben Youssef, a historical Koranic school from the 14th century. Along the way, we’ll pass by local artisans’ workshops, where you’ll have the chance to see traditional crafts being made.
