Experience award-winning wine, a Māori cultural site and stunning sightseeing up Te Mata Peak. Beginning on the coast, you will gain an appreciation for Māori knowledge at the Ātea a Rangi Celestial Compass.

*From there, you'll enjoy a wine-tasting and shared cheese platter at Clearview Winery (with a short tour if the winery is available). Additional menu items are welcome to be purchased at your own expense.*

You'll then enjoy a premium, hosted tasting at New Zealand’s second-oldest Winery, the award-winning Te Mata Estate. Home of the famed Te Mata Coleraine wine.

We'll then journey up to the top of Te Mata Peak. All the while learning about the unique culture, geology, botany and history of the region.

*For cruise ships, we offer a semi private (max 4 guests) 2.5 hour tour with departure times for each ship, depending on the time in port. This omits Clearview winery and does not include a shared cheese platter.

General tourists: We will pick you up from any hotel (or other location) in the Napier/Hastings area. Just let us know where you'll be when you book. Cruise ship passengers: Meet us 100m from the iSite at the Sound Shell area, beside the pink "Meet here" flags.

    Experience an incredibly unique Maori Cultural site. Situated on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, this celestial compass is used to mark the seasons and teach navigation skills for ocean-bound journeys. Featuring intricately carved Po (posts) that themselves tell the stories of the stars. This site carries with it stories as old as civilisation itself.
