It has many attractions such as botanical, bird and mammal species. it has approximately 535 different species of plants, many of them protected, 122 different species of birds, including the Bonelli's Eagle and the Buzzard and mammals such as the Wild Boar, the Rabbit, the Fox, the Common Bent-Wing Bat, the Lesser Mouse Eared Bat, the Genet and the Egyptian Mongoose. It is not guaranteed that all the animal wild life will be seen. This area also has historical and cultural importance like the prehistoric Algarvian Salamander and the Neolithic Defensive Wall that can be found on top of Rocha da Pena. All this with a guide who knows this area better than anyone else.
