Then, hop into a traditional canoe for a short ride across a calm lake surrounded by lotus flowers and tropical birdlife. It’s a quiet, scenic moment you’ll treasure. Once you arrive in the village, you’ll be guided to a humble mud house where a local family will demonstrate traditional cooking using clay pots and firewood. You’ll learn how to make authentic Sri Lankan dishes like rice and curry, coconut sambol, and roti and of course, you’ll get to taste the food you help prepare
