Kanyinya Village, located just outside Kigali, offers a rich community-based tourism experience where visitors can immerse themselves in authentic Rwandan rural life. Activities include guided nature walks through scenic hills and forests, learning about traditional medicinal plants, visiting local coffee farms to see the full coffee-making process from bean to cup, and participating in the traditional brewing of banana beer (urwagwa). Guests also enjoy home-cooked Rwandan meals featuring local dishes like matoke, isombe, and ugali, and engage in cultural experiences such as basket weaving, banana fiber crafts, traditional music, dance, and storytelling. The village walk provides a deeper understanding of daily life, farming practices, and the warm hospitality of the local community. However, we cannot guarantee that all these activities can be done in one day, so we advise the clients to book more than one day to fully enjoy the complete experience.
