The church is an important pilgrimage destination for Ethiopian Orthodox Christians, and its rich religious history makes it a must-see in Axum. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue your tour by visiting King Ezana’s Inscriptions, ancient stone tablets that commemorate King Ezana’s conversion to Christianity and his achievements.
