Your host, Leandra, a passionate Barbadian and self-taught sorbet maker, can’t wait to welcome you to her home. With her guidance, you’ll sample some of the island’s freshest local fruits, learn the stories behind them, and then roll up your sleeves to transform them into a delicious sorbet. But we’re not stopping there—you’ll also savor a curated selection of handcrafted fruit sorbets made by Cool Comfortz Frozen Delights bursting with Bajan flavors. Refreshing!
This isn’t just a class; it’s a fun, hands-on & immersive journey into the vibrant taste of Barbados! Beyond the flavors, this experience offers a rare chance to connect with a local, step into a real Bajan home, and gain insight into island life through fruit, stories, and warm hospitality.

Meeting and pickup
This takes place at my private residence in Oxnards Heights, St. James. It is the blue house at the end of the cul-de-sac with a carport and paved parking area at the front.
What to expect
1) Get to know the vibrant fruits of Barbados as your host, Leandra, shares fun insights and stories about their uses.
2) Taste what’s in season, savoring the sweet, tangy, and unexpected flavors of fresh local fruits
3) Time to get hands-on! As a group, you’ll work together with Leandra’s guidance to transform these tropical gems into a smooth, refreshing sorbet
4) Put your fruit knowledge to the test with a fun, interactive game—laugh, learn, and connect with fellow participants
5) Next up—a flavor adventure! Enjoy a curated tasting of handcrafted sorbets made right here at Cool Comfortz, bursting with the essence of Barbados.
6) And before you go, you’ll take home your very own container of the sorbet you helped create—so you can relive the experience (or share, if you’re feeling generous!).
