    Aug 18 - Ride Day 1 - 17.5 Miles from Molas Pass to Cascade Divide Road - Segment 25 of the Colorado Trail

    The trip begins in Durango at the Transit Center, where riders meet the guides, load bikes and gear, and shuttle north into the San Juan Mountains. The scenic drive climbs to Molas Pass, one of the most iconic starting points on the Colorado Trail. From the trailhead, riders roll straight into beautiful singletrack winding through spruce and fir forests, alpine meadows, and expansive mountain views. The trail offers a mix of flowing riding and steady climbs as the group settles into the rhythm of the trip while traversing the rugged high country above Silverton. Wildflowers often blanket the meadows in August and wildlife sightings are common along the route. After a full day on the trail, riders arrive at a remote high-country camp where tents and gear await. Relax with cold drinks, enjoy a hearty backcountry dinner prepared by the guides, and settle in for the first night under the stars in the San Juan Mountains.
