Tsukiji was once home to the world's largest wholesale fish market and next to it was the outer market.
The wholesale market was for retailers and restaurants, while the outer market was for general consumers. The wholesale market moved to Toyosu in 2018, but the outer market remained in Tsukiji.
Today,it is bustling with visitors eager to enjoy fresh seafood,sweets, tea stuff and so on. The stores even offer free samples!
