Experience Sri Lanka’s wildlife on an approximately 6-hour shared tour from Hambantota Port to Udawalawe National Park and the Elephant Transit Home. Meet your driver at the port and travel through the scenic countryside to Udawalawe, famous for its wild Asian elephants.
Enjoy a 2.5-hour safari through grasslands, forests, wetlands, and areas around the reservoir. Look for elephants, water buffalo, crocodiles, spotted deer, wild boar, monkeys, and many bird species in their natural habitat.
Continue to the Elephant Transit Home, where orphaned elephant calves are cared for and prepared for release into the wild. Spend approximately 30 minutes observing the elephants during a scheduled feeding at 10:30 AM or 2:30 PM, subject to availability.
Afterward, return to Hambantota Port. Discover Sri Lanka’s wildlife, see elephants in the wild, and learn about conservation during this convenient cruise excursion.

Meeting and pickup
We will pick you up at the arrival hall. The driver will be waiting for you with a sign with the lead traveler's name and You will be picked up from Hambantota Port, taken to experience the Udawalawe safari and the Udawalawe Elephant Orphanage, and then dropped back off at the port.

Travelers will be picked up from Hambantota Port and travel to Udawalawe National Park, enjoying scenic countryside views along the way. At the park, they will take a shared jeep safari through forests, grasslands, wetlands, and around the reservoir, looking for wild Asian elephants, water buffalo, crocodiles, spotted deer, wild boar, monkeys, and many bird species. After the safari, visit the Elephant Transit Home, where orphaned elephant calves are cared for and prepared for eventual release into the wild. Guests can learn about elephant conservation and observe the elephants during their scheduled feeding time before returning to Hambantota Port.
