Yala National Park is one of Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife destinations, located in the southeast. It is renowned for its Sri Lankan leopards and is also home to elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, water buffalo, spotted deer, wild boar, golden jackals, monkeys, and many bird species.

The park features dry forests, grasslands, lagoons, wetlands, rocky areas, and coastal landscapes, creating diverse habitats for wildlife. Early morning and late afternoon are generally ideal for wildlife viewing. Safaris are enjoyed by 4×4 jeep with an experienced driver-guide.

During a full-day safari, the park closes from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM according to park regulations. This break is mandatory. Guests must leave the park and have lunch at Patalangala Beach or Parana Thotupala (Old Ferry Point) by the river. The safari resumes after 2:00 PM.

    Explore Yala National Park on a shared safari jeep with an experienced safari driver-guide. Choose from a 4-hour morning safari, 4-hour evening safari, 7-hour safari, or full-day safari. Morning Safari – 4 Hours: Enjoy Yala early when wildlife is active. Water is provided. Evening Safari – 4 Hours: Explore Yala in the afternoon and evening. Water is provided. 7-Hour Safari: Enjoy more time to explore Yala and spot leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, deer, wild boar, and birds. Water and breakfast are included. Full-Day Safari: Spend a full day exploring Yala and its wildlife. Water, breakfast, and lunch are included. Shared Safari: The jeep can accommodate up to 6 passengers, so you may share the vehicle with other travelers. Pick-Up & Booking: Please provide your correct hotel/accommodation pick-up location and be ready at the scheduled time. Also provide a correct and active WhatsApp number so we can contact you with safari and pick-up information.
