What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We will meet at the plaza next to the Doutor stand near the Namba Oriental Hotel(It isn't inside of Doutor stand). From there we will take you to our hideout, a 3-minute walk away.
What to expect
Learn basic techniques using traditional tools like brush, ink, and hanshi paper. You can write your name in kanji (with help choosing meaningful characters) or a symbolic word like “peace” or “love.” After practicing, create your final piece—mounted and ready to take home as a unique souvenir.
As a complimentary treat, enjoy making and tasting matcha, a perfect way to relax after your creative work.
Free private sessions are available upon request for a more personal and relaxed experience.
For something extra, write your art on a Japanese-style wreath or T-shirt (+¥1,000 per person, materials included). Please let us know after booking if you’d like this option.
Our classroom is between Dotonbori and Kuromon Market — an ideal stop during your Osaka adventure. Families are welcome; we have a kid-friendly space designed by a certified nursery teacher.
The instructor is a professional calligraphy artist whose works have been exhibited and sold internationally, passionate about sharing this beautiful art with visitors from around the world.
