Explore ceramics with this in-depth course on Uzbek pottery. Learn to paint, glaze, decorate, and throw on a wheel. Perfect for all levels from novice to expert. Start your journey with a relaxing day in Tashkent and dinner in a vibrant garden. Venture to Rishtan the next day. Enjoy lunch at a teahouse en route and sightseeing in Kolkand. Spend a week taking hands-on lessons from Uzbekistan's primer potter. Spend two hours learning to paint pottery and two hours throwing on a wheel. All classes are held in a stunning outdoor studio with plenty of shade and fresh air. Have lunch in the studio and break for tea and treats to hear lectures about the meaning and history of ceramics in Uzbekistan. Spend a day exploring the surrounding area, including a visit to a weaving studio in Margilan, on an off day. Travel to Samarkand to see the main historic sights and visit craft studios in the city.
