・Experience Overview
In this experience, you will learn bonsai care and etiquette alongside Master Shimomukai Kiyokuni, representative of a bonsai garden in Hiroshima Prefecture with over 200 years of history.After the care session, you will enjoy seasonal Japanese sweets and tea while appreciating the bonsai you tended alongside Master Shimomukai.A professional photographer will capture the experience, and you will receive the photos as a commemorative gift.

There is a golden statue. We are waiting for you in front of it.
We recommend you take a taxi as the site is deep in the mountains. We will pick you up after you arrive.
What to expect
Kiyokuni Shimomukai
Kiyokuni Shimomukai is the third-generation artisan of Sōkoen, a bonsai garden.He currently serves as the representative of the Hiroshima Prefecture Bonsai Association. His pure smile brings happiness to everyone.
・Day-of Schedule
1. Meet at the Shinkansen exit of Hiroshima Station and head to Sōkoen by rental car with your guide. (Approx. 20 min)*Rental car fee is included in the tour price.
2. Explore Sōkoen with Master Kiyokuni Shimomukai and admire the bonsai throughout the grounds together.
3. Learn proper bonsai care techniques while experiencing maintenance firsthand.
4. Enjoy seasonal Japanese sweets and tea while appreciating the works.
5. Take commemorative photos in the garden at the tour's conclusion.
・Duration
Approximately 2 hours, including bonsai explanation and hands-on care experience.Approximately 1 hour for round-trip transportation, totaling 3 hours.
