In the autumn of 1888, a series of murders shocked Victorian London. The killer, never identified, targeted five women in the narrow lanes of Whitechapel — one of the city's most impoverished districts.
On this guided walk, you will follow the trail of the crimes through the streets of East London, visiting the locations where each murder took place. Your guide will present the established facts of the case, the police investigation, the main suspects, and the social conditions that defined life in Whitechapel at the time.
The tour places the five victims — Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, and Mary Jane Kelly — at the center of the story.
