Voss is a charming village in the heart of Vestland county, known for its wonderful nature and rich cultural heritage. Surrounded by majestic mountains, lakes and rivers, Voss is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. In winter, Voss is a popular destination for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts, with great alpine resorts and cross-country trails. In the summer you can enjoy activities such as rafting, skydiving, mountain tours and cycling. Voss is also famous for Vossajazz, an annual jazz festival that attracts musicians and visitors from all over the world.
The tour's highlights are close together, so just 1/2 hour from Stegastein we reach Flåm. Here we board the boat that will take us out on the Nærøyfjord. The Nærøyfjord is one of Norway's most beautiful and dramatic fjords, known for its steep rock walls, narrow passages and spectacular landscapes. The fjord is an arm of the Sognefjord and stretches over 17 kilometers, with mountains that rise up to 1,800 meters above sea level. The Nærøyfjorden is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List and offers a unique nature experience. Enjoy the untouched nature that surrounds you.
Flåm is a picturesque village located deep in the Aurlandsfjord, also an arm of the majestic Sognefjord. Flåm is known for its spectacular nature, with steep mountains and beautiful waterfalls. One of the most popular attractions is the Flåmsbana, one of the world's steepest railway lines, which takes you through impressive landscapes and changes at Myrdal station - 867 m.a.s.l. After half an hour in Flåm, we board the bus bound for Stegastein.
Stegastein is a viewing platform that extends 30 meters out from the mountainside, 650 meters above the Aurlandsfjord. The platform provides a fantastic panoramic view of the fjord and the surrounding mountains, and is a popular stopping point for both tourists and locals. Stegastein is part of the national tourist route between Aurland and Lærdal, and offers a unique opportunity to experience Norway's dramatic nature up close.
Tvindefossen is an impressive waterfall. The waterfall has a height of 116 meters and is known for its beauty and many streams of water falling down the cliff. The waterfall has also gained a reputation for having "magical" properties, especially the water which is said to have rejuvenating effects. This has made Tvindefossen one of the most visited natural attractions in Norway, with thousands of visitors every year.
Dalegarden Outlet & Café is nestled between small mountains in Dale, about 1 hour by car from Bergen. In the same location, you will find a shop offering a variety of great goods from different suppliers at reduced prices.
