Drive through Downtown Juneau. We pass historic buildings from the 1900's mining boom, including the oldest currently operating hotel in Alaska! We also pass the Alaska Capitol, the seat of state government, and the Governor’s Mansion.

A great photo op of the Mendenhall Glacier, with a beautiful meadow of fireweed in the foreground! You will also learn about the recent yearly flooding of the Mendenhall River.
Whether you consider yourself religious or not, this sacred location offers stunning views of its well-kept grounds, as well as the surrounding mountains and ocean. Eagles and whales may be spotted, as well as spawning salmon (depending upon the month).
This gorgeous lake has the stunning Mendenhall Towers mountain range as its backdrop, and you can catch a glimpse of the Mendenhall Glacier. Relative to an on-site photo taken a century ago, one can see how dramatically the glacier has changed over time.
You'll learn about the complete salmon life cycle. Inside the hatchery includes two touch pools, a cylindrical aquarium, and a gift shop. (Note: The outside salmon ladder opens June 21; wildlife like eagles, seals and sea lions can usually be spotted).
