Itinerary

1Mendenhall Glacier
Initially, we drive to Mendenhall Valley to get matched with our bikes and helmets. While we do not go to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center (nor to Nugget Falls), we bike to two other spots a few miles from the Mendenhall Glacier. First, we bike to the Brotherhood Bridge Trail, a gorgeous glacier lookout. Second, we bike the Mendenhall Wetlands Trail, a favorite locals' spot. Afterward, we return our bikes and continue on our sightseeing adventure in a luxury SUV.

We drive to this park to see "Tahku", the whale statue on the Gastineau Channel, which commemorates fifty years of Alaskan statehood.
