Your Marrakech to Sahara Desert tour begins after breakfast with a drive through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m), the gateway to the High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy panoramic views before arriving at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO-listed site and filming location for many Hollywood blockbusters. After exploring this historic village, we continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” Then we head through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing palm groves and Berber villages before settling in at a charming hotel in the heart of Dades Valley. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse surrounded by dramatic red cliffs.

2Merzouga
Today’s adventure begins with a drive to the dramatic Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls rise up to 300 meters high—perfect for photos and short walks. Then, we pass through the desert town of Erfoud, known for fossils and dates, before reaching the gateway to the Sahara: Merzouga. Here begins the highlight of your desert tour from Marrakech: a sunset camel trek through the magical Erg Chebbi dunes. Spend the night in a luxury desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner, live Berber music, and stargazing by the campfire.
