On this day, your Tour Guide from Naaya Tours will meet you at the airport or a planned pick-up point with a smile and a chilled Bottle of water to welcome you as our tradition demands and then drive you to Wooden Restaurant to have your breakfast before the Fun begins. Right after breakfast and short relaxation at 9;00am, he will safe guide you to explore the Hidden Gem and the vibrant city of Tamale, to witness the city's rich cultural heritage and bustling markets. These also includes; - Visit the famous Tamale Central Market, where you can find a variety of local goods and handicrafts, traditional fabrics, grains, spices and many more. - Explore the Savannah Center for Contemporary Art, showcasing the best of Ghanaian art and exhibitions. - A tour at the famous Red Clay, an art center established by a contemporary Ghanaian Artist by name, Ibrahim Mahama who was and bred in Tamale. - Marvel at the beautiful Central Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Ghana dated over a 120 years.
At 12:30pm, you will be taken to Oasis restaurant to enjoy delicious local cuisine and refreshing local drinks - Get to experience how animal skins are processed into leather making of Musical instruments, shoes, belts, bags etc. Finally, You will take a 2 and half hours drive to Mole National park, where you're allowed to freshen up quickly in your hotel before catching the magic moment of the Sunset at the viewing point while your dinner gets ready by 7;00pm.
On this morning, your Tour guide will lead you to the walking Safari with a Ranger who know the the in and out of the park like the back of his palm, this Safari involves walking through the Park in search of animals and you're going to be lucky seeing, a lot of different species of birds, antelope, kobs, elephants, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, monkeys, crocodiles and many more. We carefully choose to do a walking safari in the morning because it is usually easy walking when the weather is cool and also a best time pay a surprise visit in silence to the animals without disturbing them. Walking Safaris are set to start at 7:30am - 9:30am which makes the trip lasts for two hours. After Breakfast, you will set-off for Mognori Eco Village at 10:30am which will be a 45 Minutes drive from the park to arrive. At Mognori Eco Village, you'll discover the traditional way of life, stunning natural beauty and hospitality of the local community.
In this community, you will have an experience of a Canoe Safari, you will be paddled through the serene waters of Mole River which flows directly from the White Volta spotting exotic birds, fish, Nile lizards and other aquatic life. Next is a community Walk which commences on a leisurely stroll through the village to interact with locals, learning about their customs, admiring their architectural designs, visiting traditional homes and also climbing the roof top of their mud houses. A Traditional Herbalist will be paid a visit in this community who will illustrate to you on how herbal medicines are made and preserved to treat several sickness in the village. The last activity in this community will be to Witness or participate in a hands -on shea butter-making hub, learning the ancient techniques and recipes passed down through generations. A cultural dance may also be witnessed depending on an agreed arrangements.
An unforgettable evening drive safari will be arranged to commence at 3:30pm-5:30pm on a drive/Jeep, penetrating through the forest to catch live memories of different Wildlife species and the incredible biodiversity and stunning landscapes with our Experienced guide and ranger who will provide insightful commentary on the park's flora and fauna. Marvel at the Sunset breathtaking views of the savannah as the sun dips below the horizon at the mole motel pool side and soaking yourself with some chilled drinks.
On this Morning at 7:30am, You will embark another guided 2 hours walking safari through the park's lush forest spotting a variety of wildlife including antelopes, birds, reptiles, monkeys etc. You will have your breakfast after safari and also have sometime to freshen up and pack your luggage for check out.
Also explore the ancient Larabanga Mosque in 30 minutes, a significant Islamic site in Ghana which dates to over 605 years, and learn about its rich history and cultural significance. A drive of 2 and half hours back to Tamale to the last place. At the Cultural Center where you can negotiate and buy some gifts and souvenir for family and friends back home. You will head to Wooden Restaurant for launch before heading back to the airport, hotel of bus terminal.
