We start with pick-up from your hotel or the bus terminal in Uyuni and head to the Train Cemetery, where you can find old locomotives from the 19th century. Then we visit Colchani, a small town known for its salt crafts. We enter the Salar de Uyuni, where we see piles of salt in the shape of pyramids, the “eyes of salt,” and the Salt Museum with buildings made entirely of salt. We continue to Incahuasi Island, where we take a 30-minute walk among giant cacti with a panoramic view of the salt flats. Then we visit the Dakar Monument, an ideal place to take pictures. There we enjoyed a local lunch. In the afternoon, we explored the area of the water mirrors where the sunset is reflected, creating a unique effect between sky and earth. We ended the day with a transfer to the hostel to spend the night.
We started the day with a pick-up from the hostel at approximately 9:30 a.m. to continue our adventure through the majestic Salar de Uyuni. We visited the Pulacayo Mine, which was one of the most important silver and tin mines in Bolivia in 1952, where we took a guided tour of the small museum and also the Colonial Church. We continued the tour with the option of enjoying hot springs and saunas. On this route, we enjoyed a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we explored at least three highland lagoons, Cañapa Hedionda and Chulluncani, which are characterized by their unique colors and the presence of flamingos. We ended the tour in the town of Uyuni around 6:00 p.m.
