    Day 1

    Salar de Uyuni Tour from San Pedro de Atacama

    Uyuni

    The tour begins with pickup from your accommodation at 7:00 a.m. (varies depending on the hotel). Once the whole group has gathered, we will depart from San Pedro de Atacama in a minibus and head to the border between Chile and Bolivia. After passing through the offices and completing the necessary paperwork, we will change vehicles to a 4×4 for 6 people. On the first day, we will visit places in the Bolivian highlands, such as Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. We will continue on to visit the Salvador Dalí desert and the Polques hot springs, where we will have some time to take a dip. We will also visit the Sol de Mañana geysers, intermittent water sources that gush at 90°C. Finally, we will visit Laguna Colorada, a nesting site for more than 30,000 flamingos. The first night we will stay at a hostel in Villamar.

    Valley of Rocks – Laguna Vinto – Anaconda Canyon

    On the second day, we will visit the Valley of Rocks, the World Cup, Lost Italy; a place where volcanic rock has taken the shape of what appears to be an abandoned city. Then we will visit El Camello, where you can see animals from the area. Laguna Misteriosa or Catal, where you can walk and see the typical flora and fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano, Laguna Vinto, Mirador, Cañon de la Anaconda. At the end of the day, we will transfer to the salt hotel in Colcha K, where we will spend the second night.

    Salar de Uyuni – Incahuasi Island – Colchani

    Salar de Uyuni

    We will watch the sunrise over the white blanket formed by the accumulation of salt, and then travel to Incahuasi Island. Here, we will take a short walk through this limestone formation, which contains giant cacti and offers a great view of the salt flats. Afterwards, we will visit the Salt Museum and leave the salt flats via the village of Colchani, where we will stop to buy handicrafts. Then, we will pass by the train cemetery to take some pictures before arriving in Uyuni. In Uyuni, we will say goodbye to our driver-guide, who accompanied us during the previous three days, and then we will have free time to have lunch and explore part of the city. Later, we will meet with the driver who will take us back, with a stop in Villamar for dinner and rest.

    Villamar – San Pedro de Atacama

    We will wake up very early to continue our return journey and reach the border between Chile and Bolivia. Once there, and after completing the necessary formalities, we will change vehicles and board a minibus to return to San Pedro de Atacama.
