(3 reviews) Tokyo, Japan

2 hours (approximately)
Offered in: Japanese and 1 more

A great-value class where you can learn more about Japan including history, food culture, and health tips from a certified instructor. Escape the heat and enjoy this unique class near the station!

One of the Japanese superfoods, amazake (fermented sweet drink) has long been enjoyed in Japan. It's so delicious and good for gut health!

Our kitchen is located in the heart of Tokyo (Only 10 mins from Shibuya Station via Ginza Line), so you won’t be affected much by the weather!

The class is just 2 hours long, making it perfect even for busy travelers!

Fermented foods are so specialized that very few classes exist, making this a one-of-a-kind experience. And this is a vegan class!

Special Promotion : We also offer another class, Fermented Food Lunch Class, starting at 11am. If you join both classes on the same day, you will receive a special gift — rice koji amazake, the one we use in the dessert class.

What to expect

Why not enrich your trip to Japan by learning deeply about fermented foods, the foundation of Japanese cuisine and unique culture, and a key to health and beauty?

This class is very unique and special. We use Amazake (traditional fermented rice paste, very sweet without sugar) and Sakekasu (Sake lees, which may be rare outside Japan). They are good for glowing skin and gut health, and so delicious!(Note: Sakekasu contains alcohol 8%). And all dishes are vegan!

Learn something good for you—even after your trip!
