We will first drive to the Marangu Gate. This is considered the easiest route to the peak of Kilimanjaro. From the gate, we will hike for four hours to the Mandara Huts, birdwatching and enjoying Kilimanjaro's magical forest along the way. There are several streams and small waterfalls along the way. Once we reach the Mandara Huts, we will have lunch (vegetarian options available). After lunch, we will hike back down to the base of the mountain. Going down is a lot easier than going up so it will be about a three-hour hike back to the gate.
