On this adventure, you will begin your first day by doing a game drive in Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant and lion populations and abundance of baobab trees. Then you will spend the night either in Tarangire or in Karatu, which is just outside of Ngorongoro National Park. The following morning after breakfast, you will go to Lake Eyasi and visit Datoga and Hadzabe villages and learn about their cultures, their ways of life, and how the Hadzabe hunt and the Datoga do ironwork. That evening you will spend the night in Karatu and the following morning you will enter the Ngorongoro Crater and witness the amazing wildlife that it is home to. Then in the late afternoon, you will head back to Arusha to your residence.

    Datoga & Hadzabe Village in Lake Eyasi

    In the morning after breakfast, you will journey to Lake Eyasi, where the Datoga & Hadzabe tribes live. First you will meet the Datoga, an agrarian tribe that are expert blacksmiths. You will see how they do metal work and enter their homes. Then you will go to an Hadzabe village. This hunter-gatherer tribe has remained mostly unchanged in its practices and lifestyle for thousands of years until the last century. The Hadzabe speak a language that is isolated to only the little over a thousand Hadzabe who live today. They speak with clicks and their language is not considered similar to any other on earth. While visiting the Hadzabe, they will show you how they make fire, shoot arrows, and will perform a traditional dance. You will see how they live and learn about their culture.

    In the morning after breakfast, you will enter Ngorongoro Crater famous for its diversity of wildlife year round. Then in the late afternoon, you will head back to Arusha to your residence.
