For cruise passengers, we’ll be waiting for you with a “Hava'i Tour 4x4” sign: in front of the ferry terminal if your ship is docked at the shuttle drop-off point if your ship is anchored For non-cruise passengers, the meeting point is in front of the Tico Pearl shop at the ferry terminal.

Discover a fa’apu (traditional Polynesian garden) inspired by permaculture, and immerse yourself in local agricultural life to better understand the many plantations that feed the island’s residents. Watch a demonstration centered around the coconut, from husking to tasting, and learn how this essential fruit is used in everyday Polynesian life. You will also visit a local honey farm, where you will discover the secrets behind Raiatea’s honey production while tasting seasonal fruits and vegetables grown on site. You’ll also have the opportunity to taste and purchase honey and other local artisanal products.

Enjoy spectacular views of Raiatea’s lush mountains, green valleys, and crystal-clear lagoon. Traveling by 4x4 to explore the island’s interior (in a vehicle designed for everyone’s comfort) allows you to appreciate the stunning landscapes of the caldera, a remarkable reminder of the island’s volcanic past. You’ll discover local plantations — pineapples, coconut trees, moringa, taro, and more depending on the season — with insightful commentary from your guide. This is also an opportunity to better understand the profound connection between Polynesians and their natural environment, as well as the agricultural practices that sustain the local population today.
