Early morning departure by tourist bus to Pokhara, a charming city. Check-in at Hotel Pushp. Free lunch and dinner
Private car departure from Pokhara by road to reach Khare, the first village on the Annapurna Sanctuary trail. 1.5 hours walk through rice fields to Australian Camp, offering splendid views of Annapurna South at 7,219 m. Descent to Pothana, then a slow ascent to Bhickok Deurali pass (2,100 m) before descending to Landruk. Overnight stay in a lodge.
Steep trail outside the village, passing through terraced fields and leading to the Modi River. Crossing a suspension bridge and continuing to Ghandruk, the second-largest village in the region populated by the Gurung ethnic group. Explore the slate-roofed houses and narrow alleys. Overnight stay in a lodge.
Pleasant balcony trail to the river, then through a forest of giant Rhododendrons. Arrival in Tadapani with a view of the valley leading to the Annapurna Sanctuary. Overnight stay in a lodge.
Steep descent to the river, then uphill to the hill. A pleasant balcony trail leads to Banthanti, before climbing to Deorali Pass at 3030 m. Gentle descent through the forest to Ghorepani. Overnight stay in a lodge.
Early morning ascent to Poon Hill for a magnificent sunrise over the Himalayan range. Return to Ghorepani for breakfast, then descend through Magar villages (Magar is an ethnicity in Nepalese population.) to Tirkhedunga. Enjoy the terraced villages and cultures. Overnight stay in a lodge.
End of the trek. Descent to Birethanti, then bus ride to Pokhara. Accommodation at Hotel Pushp, free lunch, and dinner. Retrieval of belongings if left at the hotel before the trek.
