Discover Nieuwpoort through the eyes of a local and experience the Belgian coast in a unique way. During this 13 km sunset tour, I will guide you along scenic harbor views, historic monuments, and unspoiled nature. Learn about the region’s rich history, maritime traditions, and the unique ecosystem of the 'Ijzermonding'. We will walk past the Westfront Monument, see the fish market, and take a ferry across the water. The tour ends with a tasting of local specialties and a refreshing drink while watching the sun set over the North Sea. This is the perfect experience for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, and food lovers alike.

    We walk through the IJzermonding, where the river and the sea meet, creating a unique fauna and flora. I will tell you more about this special ecosystem and its beautiful habitat. Along the way, we may spot numerous birds, grazing sheep, playful rabbits, and maybe even a curious seal.

    We walk past the impressive Westfront monument, a memorial honoring Nieuwpoort’s role in World War I. As we pass by, I will tell you more about the strategic flooding of the Yser Plain and its impact on the course of the war.
