On this tour you will have several volcanic geothermal experiences that may include warm outdoor baths in the middle of nature.
The Lagoa das Furnas is a place of great wealth, fauna and flora with small volcanoes (fumarólas), and a wide variety of water springs. The “Cozido das Furnas” (made in the warm soil of the volcano), thermal baths in wells or pools, volcanic lamas in various treatments and the use of waters with mineral-medical characteristics, including “acid waters”. Don’t forget to book “Cozido das Furnas” at one of the local restaurants. Not to miss the Terra Nostra Park, built in the 18th/XIXth century, dive into the geothermal pool around the 40th within the magnificent botanical garden.
You will also enjoy some hidden waterfalls and slopes on the island of São Miguel.
